Other Notables ….

  • Long listed for the Flash Fiction Fan website’s 2016 competition.

Flash Fiction: ‘Crazy Café Man’ by Michael Carey

  • I clicked on the ‘TSS The Short Story’ website and found I had been long-listed for their quarterly Short Story competition, which was a nice surprise.

  • I submitted a story to the Galley Beggar Press for their 2015 Short Story Competition. It received a ‘Special mention’. Or as I like to think of it, it came somewhere in the top 23 out of 570 entries.

  • I wrote this for a competition … apart from that I didn’t try and submit it anywhere. But it gets a steady stream of views on the site here.…. So someone somewhere must have posted a link to it. So, if you like a modern(ish) spin on a fairy tale, take a look.

  • This was published in the Tufnell Park Parents Support Group Newsletter (harder to get published in than you might imagine).

  • And this is definitely not published anywhere apart from here. But I include it here as it’s a good insight into the themes of my novel. It’s about atheism and the effects of religion on society and the individual, and why it’s important to oppose it.
